JULIAN FRANCIS
FRICS

DIRECTOR

Julian is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 50 years’ experience in the building industry.

Julian trained as a quantity surveyor with one of the largest UK practices and became a qualified surveyor at the age of 25 before gaining fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors 12 years later.

Julian became a Senior Project Engineer for Mobil Oil Company taking full responsibility for the design, planning, construction and site supervision of filling stations and the maintenance of all non-refinery facilities throughout the UK.

It was during this time that he learned the use of CAD for construction drawings.

Julian established Francis Associates as a Project Management company in 1988 and has since fulfilled many construction based roles with major UK contractors and developers, within both commercial and residential spheres.

This includes project management of a number of bespoke residential schemes where clients have preferred a hands on self-build rather than a traditional construction phase.
